Courses at The Hayloft at Bradgate Manor

The courses in The Hayloft are designed to provide a relaxing and interesting day out. An opportunity to spend time with other people with shared interests in cookery, healthy eating, gardening, art, floral design, stone carving, or sailing. Also please see the page for Insight Holistic Retreats - new to The Hayloft and a great way to indulge yourself. All course fees include refreshments, as shown on each web page.

Cookery Demonstrations - Introducing Denise Caruth-Stevenson, who will present two Saturday courses and a series of five Thursday evening demonstrations. These demonstrations will be followed by a lunch, or supper, where you can join together with your fellow enthusiasts and tastethe delicious food presented by Denise.

Art Workshops - Painting with Water Colours

 Saturday Workshops - The classes will be small - between 4 - 8 people. An opportunity to spend the day learning and developing techniques - and to indulge your interest in painting with other enthusiasts.

Healthy Eating Workshops This is a special series of courses, run by Naturopath and Nutritionist, Sharyn Singer. Sharyn will introduce you to foods as a natural medicine with particular emphasis on locally sourced, seasonal food.

Stone Carving - Another new course and one which promises a really enjoyable way to spend two days in beautiful surroundings, learning or improving the art of stone-carving.  Three separate 2-day courses are offered, as stand-alone courses or perhaps take the three 2-day courses and really build up your skills over the summer time.

 Floral courses - The Flowers of late Spring and early Summer and and also Festive Flowers- The late spring course was super and enjoyed by all who attended. We are now taking booking for two seperate Festive Flowers courses in November.  These courses are so popular that an extra day has been added this year, so do place your booking for one of the days to be sure of a place. We promise the days will be really enjoyable, where you will have fun learning and making your own creations to take home.  The courses include a delicious two-course meal with wine.

Horticulture - Plants and Planting for Pleasure - A three-part gardening course each part consisting of five weekly classes, on Wednesday mornings, designed to appeal to people who are passionate about plants. The course has proved to be very popular, with great enthusiasm expressed for the content and delivery.  Part Two of this year’s course has been completed and Part Three commences on Wednesday 15th October. Each part may be booked as a stand-alone set of 5 classes.

Stand-alone gardening workshops - Workshops with classroom and practical advice, for beginners and for more experienced gardeners. We have added some evening classes as well as the usual Wednesday morning times.

Sailing Tuition - shore based Short range (radio) certificate

SRC is a one-day course run by Urban Truant .

The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the qualification you need to operate a  VHF/DSC Radio fitted to a British leisure craft

Gift vouchers are available for all courses. A splendid present for  birthdays or that special anniversary.
